Job summary

Grow and Learn Preschool in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking caring teachers to create warm, safe classrooms where children feel valued and excited to learn.

You will plan engaging, hands-on lessons supporting language, cognitive, social-emotional and motor development, while supervising children and building strong relationships with families. This role offers a supportive, family-owned environment and a path to a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months of preschool or licensed childcare experience.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Background checks must be cleared.
• Complete Arizona DES training within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on lessons supporting language, cognitive, social-emotional, and motor development.
• Teach foundational early-learning skills (colors, shapes, letters, numbers, early literacy).
• Foster curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through play-based learning.
• Supervise children and ensure safety during activities, outdoor play, and snack time.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Maintain an organized, clean classroom environment promoting learning.
• Follow Arizona licensing regulations and Grow and Learn Preschool policies.
• Collaborate with the Director and teaching team to provide high-quality care and education.

What You'll Do

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom where children feel valued and excited to learn.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands‑on lessons and activities that support children's language, cognitive, social‑emotional, and motor development.
• Teach foundational early learning skills, including colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and early literacy concepts.
• Foster children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through play‑based and teacher‑guided learning.
• Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety during classroom activities, outdoor play, and snack time.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
• Follow all Arizona state licensing regulations and Grow and Learn Preschool policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Director and teaching team to provide the highest quality care and education for every child.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 6 months of preschool or licensed childcare experience.
• High school diploma or GED required. Coursework in Early Childhood Education (18 credit hours or more) is preferred and may satisfy Arizona teacher qualifications.
• Must obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must successfully pass all required background checks.
• Must create an account with the Arizona Workforce Registry and complete all required Arizona DES training within the required timeframe.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Reliable, dependable, and passionate about working with young children.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
