Job summary

Magical Star Preschool in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a warm Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our growing team and support children during their critical early years.

You will create a safe, nurturing classroom, plan developmentally appropriate activities, monitor progress, and maintain open communication with families while following Arizona DHS licensing and health guidelines.

This role emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and reliability in a collaborative preschool setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CDA or ECE coursework preferred.
• Experience with infants and toddlers in childcare or preschool.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for ages 0–3.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Background check in accordance with Arizona DHS requirements.
• Patient, compassionate, and reliable with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Fingerprint Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and daily progress.
• Maintain open, consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth and daily activities.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols, including diapering, feeding, and nap routines.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive classroom culture.
• Ensure compliance with Arizona childcare licensing regulations and center policies.
