Job summary

The Goddard School of Monroe, CT is seeking a nurturing, energetic Toddler Teacher for a full-time role. The ideal candidate will plan engaging activities for ages 18 months to 3 years, foster safe, learning-focused environments, and collaborate with staff and families to support young children’s growth.

Responsibilities include implementing the Wonder of Learning curriculum, monitoring progress, and ensuring licensing compliance while maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDA/Associate/Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reliable and passionate about working with young children.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and positive classroom environment.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning.
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Observe and assess children's progress and communicate with families regularly.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow team members.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing regulations.
• Supervise children at all times, including during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and independence.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required.
