Job summary

The Goddard School of Monroe, CT is seeking a Full-Time Toddler Teacher to nurture ages 18 months to 3 years in a safe, caring, play-based setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and eager to support children’s growth and families.

Responsibilities include planning activities, implementing the curriculum, observing progress, communicating with families, and maintaining a positive classroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDA/Associate's/Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience with toddlers in licensed childcare centers or early learning environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and positive classroom environment.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans.
• Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Observe and assess children's progress and communicate with families regularly.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow team members.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and licensing compliance.
• Supervise children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment encouraging exploration and independence.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
