Job summary

Catalyst Family Inc. is seeking a full-time teaching staff member to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula for children from infancy to school age, depending on location.

You will create and maintain engaging, age-appropriate learning environments and collaborate with families and staff to promote positive development. The role emphasizes health and safety, social-emotional development, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 24 postsecondary semester units in Early Childhood Education or related field with 16 general education units
• AA degree or higher in ECE, CD, or related field from a nationally accredited college
• Teacher Permit or above issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
• 2 years of experience in a group care environment with a consistent age group desired
• 1 year of experience supervising adults or equivalent supervision units if available
• Effective problem solving, conflict resolution, classroom management, and communication with children and families
• Effective organization, time management, curriculum, and assessment documentation (lesson plans, portfolios, and anecdotal notes)
• Ability to work alongside colleagues and maintain a professional team environment
• Current adult and infant/child CPR & First Aid certification preferred
• Bilingual/multilingual language preference based on individual center needs

Responsibilities

• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned to children's interests
• Create and maintain age-appropriate, enriched learning environments
• Provide authentic, culturally responsive relationships with children, families, schools and staff
• Ensure children's health and safety through supervision and good practices
• Collaborate with staff to deliver high-quality programs and environments
