The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking Early Education Teachers for Child Development Programs across the City and Suburban Boston. Huntington YMCA location and hourly compensation of $20.00–$28.00 are offered. EEC certification and safety trainings are required, with opportunities to contribute to infant, toddler, preschool, and after-school care.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and meet EEC requirements.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within six months.
• Must complete Child Abuse Prevention Training within 60 days.
• Must complete Bloodborne Pathogen Training within 60 days.
• Must complete Sexual Harassment Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Keep safety of children as a first priority.
• Plans and implements age-appropriate curriculum.
• Provides differentiated instruction to meet individual needs.
• Conduct child assessments and provide feedback to parents.
• Lead by example and model YMCA values for children and staff.
• Use positive and constructive behavior management methods.
• Supervise children and guide transitions smoothly.
• Collaborate with co-teacher to prepare classroom materials.
