Job summary

Primrose School of New Providence is seeking an experienced Toddler Teacher to join our team. The role focuses on supporting early childhood development through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities within a Balanced Learning® framework.

You will work in a collaborative setting with a co-teacher, lead classroom routines, and partner with families to promote child growth and learning. A strong background in toddler education and licensing familiarity for New Jersey are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices
• Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating independence and initiative
• Two or more years of early childhood teaching experience
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Previous Lead Teacher experience
• Familiarity with New Jersey childcare licensing requirements

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging toddler classroom alongside your co-teacher
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities using Primrose's Balanced Learning® curriculum
• Maintain classroom routines and use positive behavior guidance strategies
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental milestones
• Ensure constant, active supervision and compliance with licensing requirements
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to maintain a high-quality learning environment
