Primrose School of New Providence in New Providence, NJ is seeking an experienced Toddler Teacher to nurture young learners within a supportive, collaborative team. The role emphasizes hands-on development, family communication, and a commitment to the school’s Balanced Learning curriculum.

You will lead developmentally appropriate activities, maintain routines, and support social-emotional growth while ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

The Primrose School of New Providence is seeking an experienced, dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team!

We are looking for an educator with a strong understanding of early childhood development, classroom management experience, and a passion for helping young children learn and grow.

Our classrooms follow a collaborative co‑teaching model, with opportunities to take on classroom leadership responsibilities based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices
• Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating independence and initiative

Preferred:

• Two or more years of early childhood teaching experience
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Previous Lead Teacher experience
• Familiarity with New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
