Job summary

Primrose School of New Providence, located in New Providence, NJ, is seeking an experienced Toddler Teacher for a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.

You will co-teach a Balanced Learning classroom, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and guide young children through their social, emotional, and cognitive milestones while partnering with families and continuing your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with toddlers in licensed childcare.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate practices.
• Ability to collaborate while showing initiative and independence.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging toddler classroom alongside your co-teacher.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities using Primrose's Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Maintain classroom routines and use positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Support children's social, emotional, and developmental milestones.
• Ensure constant, active supervision and compliance with licensing requirements.
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to maintain a high-quality learning environment

The Primrose School of New Providence is seeking an experienced, dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team!

We are looking for an educator with a strong understanding of early childhood development, classroom management experience, and a passion for helping young children learn and grow.

Our classrooms follow a collaborative co‑teaching model, with opportunities to take on classroom leadership responsibilities based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices
• Ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating independence and initiative

Preferred:

• Two or more years of early childhood teaching experience
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Previous Lead Teacher experience
• Familiarity with New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
