YMCA of Metro North, Inc. is hiring an Early Learning Toddler Teacher for the Stoneham Y Academy. The role focuses on preparing toddlers for kindergarten with social, educational, and emotional readiness, in a 40-hour/week program running 7:30am–5:30pm.

The position requires EEC Preschool Teacher Certification; 1–2 years in a preschool setting is preferred. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and benefits apply to full-time employees.

Qualifications

• EEC Preschool Teacher Certified
• 1-2 years in a preschool childcare center preferred

Responsabilités

• Keep the safety of children as a first priority and support their emotional well-being.
• Plan and implement an age-appropriate curriculum fostering development.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual needs of children.
• Conduct child assessments and share feedback with parents and caregivers.
• Lead by example and model YMCA character values for children and staff.
• Use positive behavior management strategies and ensure staff consistency.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and guide transitions smoothly.
• Collaborate with co-teacher to design the classroom space and ensure materials are ready.
