Job summary

YMCA Academy Melrose in Melrose, MA is seeking a full-time Toddler Day Care Lead Teacher. You will supervise a Toddler program, deliver age-appropriate curriculum, ensure safety, and communicate with families about each child’s progress.

Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $26.00 with benefits including a $1,000 sign-on bonus, 75% tuition discount, discounted program fees, and a free YMCA membership. The program runs 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services as defined by state licensing requirements.
• Minimum of one year (2,000 hours) of child-care experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow YMCA policies, MA EEC licensing, and QRIS standards.
• Ensure child safety and maintain attendance for your group.
• Communicate effectively with parents about progress and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide quality adult/child interactions and age-appropriate instruction.
• Maintain learning centers and materials in labeled learning areas.
• Attend team-planning meetings and conduct weekly child observations.
• Prepare for annual licensing inspections and quality assessments.
