Job summary

Cadence Education in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Toddler Lead Teacher for our Younger 2's program. You will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities, foster a warm, inclusive classroom, and partner with families to support each child’s growth.

Under the direction of the School Director, you’ll ensure safety and licensing compliance, document progress, participate in trainings, and contribute to a supportive team that values work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Follow all safety procedures and health guidelines in a childcare setting.
• Maintain structure and consistency to support a positive classroom environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children and families.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs and behavior support plans.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Use Cadence systems and communication tools to coordinate with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, supervised classroom per safety manuals.
• Document accidents and escalated behaviors per policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow all Cadence policies and Employee Handbook.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development.
