Job summary

Cadence Education in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher to plan and deliver age-appropriate curricula, supervise classroom operations, and support the developmental needs of all children, including those with IEPs. You’ll partner with families and staff to create a safe, engaging learning environment that aligns with Cadence programs.

The role requires a degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent), state licensing eligibility, and 6–12 months of classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Follow safety procedures including food allergy protocols, Safe Sleep practices, and incident reporting.
• Ability to maintain a structured, nurturing classroom environment with consistent routines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive classroom for every child.
• Build professional relationships with children and families through daily greetings and ongoing updates.
• Recognize and respond to diverse developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including IEPs and behavior plans.
• Plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence educational philosophy.
• Use Cadence communication tools to coordinate with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, supervised classroom following Cadence safety policies.
• Document accidents and incidents per policy and licensing requirements.
• Follow all Cadence Education policies and participate in trainings and meetings.
