Job summary

Little Feathers Learning Center is seeking a nurturing Toddler Educator for a 2-year-old classroom. The role focuses on independence, emotional development, and early learning through play-based Activities, with strong family partnerships.

The ideal candidate is patient, attends to routines and documentation, and helps maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment for young children.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE coursework or CDA preferred.
  • Nevada licensing requirements and background check must be met.
  • 1–3 years of toddler experience in licensed childcare preferred.
  • Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers.
  • Ability to provide consistent, positive guidance and a calm environment.
  • Comfort with potty learning in partnership with families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for toddlers.
  • Lead play-based activities to support language development and social skills.
  • Support daily routines including meals, rest, diapering, and transitions.
  • Partner with families to support potty learning and development.
  • Foster independence, confidence, and emotional regulation through guidance.
  • Maintain daily documentation and communication with families (Kangarootime).
  • Observe development and share progress with leadership and families as needed.
  • Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom; collaborate with team.

Little Feathers Learning Center is seeking a nurturing, energetic, and passionate educator to join our toddler team. Our 2-year-old classroom focuses on supporting independence, emotional development, early communication, and safe exploration through play-based learning.

The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and deeply committed to creating a warm, secure environment where children feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. This role includes guiding daily routines, supporting social-emotional development, introducing early learning concepts, and partnering with families to provide consistent, loving care.

What You'll Do
Duties & Responsibilities – Toddler Educator (2-Year-Old Classroom)
  • Provide asafe, nurturing, and engaging environmentthat supports each child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Implementdevelopmentally appropriate, play-based activitiesthat encourage language development, social skills, and early learning
  • Supportdaily routinesincluding meals, rest, diapering, toileting, and transitions with patience and positive guidance
  • Partner with families to encouragedevelopmentally appropriate potty learning, following each child’s readiness and center policies
  • Fosterindependence, confidence, and emotional regulationthrough gentle guidance and modeling
  • Maintain accuratedaily documentation and communicationwith families through Kangarootime (updates, photos, notes)
  • Observe and assess children’s development and share progress with leadership and families as needed
  • Upholdhealth, safety, and licensing standardsat all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment
  • Collaborate respectfully with team members to support a positive, cohesive classroom culture
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications – Toddler Educator (2-Year-Old Classroom)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA preferred)
  • Must meet allNevada licensing and background check requirements
  • Previous experience working with toddlers (1–3 years) in a licensed childcare or early learning environment preferred
  • Strong understanding ofdevelopmentally appropriate practicesfor toddlers, including social-emotional development and early independence
  • Ability to provideconsistent, positive guidanceand create a calm, nurturing classroom environment
  • Comfortable supportingpotty learning in a developmentally appropriate wayin partnership with families
  • Effective communication skills and ability to buildrespectful, professional relationships with families and team members
  • Physically able to meet the demands of working with young children (lifting, bending, active engagement)
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining asafe, clean, and organized classroom
  • Willingness to participate in ongoingprofessional development and training
