Job summary

Ducklings Early Learning Center in West Chester, PA is seeking an Assistant Toddler Teacher who is warm, energetic, and passionate to support young children during their formative years. You will help plan age-appropriate activities, create a safe and nurturing environment, and engage toddlers in daily routines.

Responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher, guiding social-emotional development, communicating with families, and maintaining a clean classroom.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior toddler/childcare experience.
• Knowledge of child development principles.
• Ability to obtain PA clearances.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Patient, compassionate demeanor and good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in planning age-appropriate activities.
• Support a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise toddlers during play, meals, and daily routines.
• Foster social-emotional development through positive guidance.
• Communicate with parents about daily progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Assist with diapering and personal care needs.
