• At least two years' experience in early childhood education (2,500 verified hours).
• Understanding of DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.

Job description

Are you ready to channel your inner child and help little learners shine? Wonderspring is seeking an Assistant Teacher at our Star 4 Powelton Village center. In this role, you will assist in delivering lessons inspired by the Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards.

This is a full-time, 12-month position, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Together, we will foster an environment that supports each child's unique journey.

What You’ll Do

1. Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement curriculum-based lesson plans, including crafts and circle time activities.
2. Ensure the well-being and comfort of children, encouraging positive interactions.
3. Maintain a cheerful attitude with children, parents, and colleagues.
4. Gently guide children toward positive behavior using techniques like FLIP IT and Second Step.
5. Observe, document, and celebrate each child's progress, sharing successes with parents.

Your Skills & Qualities

• High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
• At least two years' experience in early childhood education (2,500 verified hours).
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents and guardians.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
• Understanding of DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
• Proficient in managing a multicultural classroom environment.
