Qualifications

• High school graduate preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or obtain accreditation within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management and training.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order traffic.
• Provide leadership and motivate the store to align with Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders and proper handling of out-of-stock items.
• Ensure return-to-stock items are handled promptly, especially perishables.
• Model outstanding customer service and meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and usage of supplies and equipment.
• Learn and utilize company tools including ACIS, scheduling, CAO, reports and business information systems.
• Maintain department appearance, quality, variety, safety and sanitation.
• Understand scheduling, sales, projections, wage percent, interviewing, hiring, training, and other management items.
