Job summary

Food Lion To Go operations leadership role overseeing the online order service and store associates. You will hire, train and develop department staff, schedule to meet online demand and drive strong customer satisfaction.

Lead the team to achieve budgeted results, ensure safety and sanitation, and use ACIS/CAO tools to monitor performance and inventory. This role requires a hands-on leader committed to Food Lion values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Accreditation as a Food Safety Manager or ability to attain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise performance and conduct formal appraisals for direct reports.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order demands.
• Provide leadership and motivate store teams to align with guiding principles and values.
• Support budgeted financial and operating results and drive efficiency; monitor inventory and costs.
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure fresh orders and handle out-of-stock items properly.
• Ensure proper handling of return-to-stock items, with focus on refrigeration and perishables.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Operate and monitor company tools (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, reports) to manage performance.
• Ensure department appearance, safety, sanitation and compliance with policies.
