Job summary

Altman Solon in San Francisco seeks a mid-level Consultant to join our global TMT strategy practice. You will own data-driven problem solving, build quantitative tools in Excel and Tableau, and deliver insights to clients.

You will conduct research, synthesize findings, and contribute to internal initiatives such as recruiting and diversity. Strong quantitative skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative backgrounds with proven experience building excel-based financial and operational models.
• Sound business intuition and understanding of key performance drivers.
• Ability to translate complex problems into structured, manageable concepts and approaches.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts via verbal, written, and visual means.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven methodologies and own execution of solving complex client problems.
• Build quantitative tools using Excel and Tableau for clients (Market sizings, Go-to-Market plans, Financial analyses, Business plan assessments).
• Conduct research to understand market demand drivers, tech trends, and competitive landscapes; use surveys and interviews.
• Synthesize and present key findings and recommendations to clients.
• Develop domain knowledge in TMT and expand through time at Altman Solon.
• Support recruiting, mentoring interns and consultants, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and other projects.
