Job summary

Tanner Health in Georgia seeks an EPIC Principal Trainer for TMG Operations (Days) to develop and maintain the Epic training program for the applications used by physicians and staff. You will work with the training manager, application coordinators, and application managers to ensure the program meets Epic standards and delivers effective education.

As an experienced educator, you will lead adult education efforts, design engaging materials, and deliver clear presentations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in adult education and training.
• Ability to read material, identify key points, and summarize accurately.
• Flexible to update training content and delivery methods as needed.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and ensure Epic standards.
• Willingness to learn new content and develop strong training programs.
• Strong communication to trainers and trainees, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Epic training programs for assigned applications.
• Collaborate with the training manager, application coordinators, and managers.
• Deliver formal presentations and create training materials meeting Epic standards.
• Coordinate with specialty champions when training physicians.

Job Description

Principal trainers (PTs) work with the training manager, application coordinators, and application managers to develop and maintain the training program for the roles in their application. PTs on applications that train physicians also work with specialty champions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

No prior work experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Skill and experience in adult education

The ability to read text, identify major points, make inferences, and draw conclusions that accurately reflect the material

Demonstrating flexibility with respect to required changes in training content and delivery methods

The ability to work without close supervision, taking ownership of work activities and ensuring training sessions and supporting materials meet Epic standards

The ability to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible

The ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner

The ability to learn new content and leverage that knowledge to develop strong training programs
