The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximize store sales by receiving and shipping freight within a timely manner. The TM Receiver interacts with customers and Team Members, supports selling initiatives, and performs assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They are also responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, adhering to Tractor Supply Company safety training and guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

Availability, flexibility, adaptability, and service orientation are essential. You must be able to fulfill all of the following requirements:

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
  • Greet the Customer.
  • Uncover Customer Needs & Wants.
  • Recommend Product Solutions.
  • Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
• The TM Receiver will perform a combination of duties during 95% of their day, including but not limited to:

• Processing inbound and outbound freight.
• Maintaining accurate inventory control and adhering to loss prevention standards.
• Recovering merchandise.
• Participating in mandatory freight processes.
• Keeping a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Maintaining, recovering, stocking, and tagging assigned areas and outside merchandise.
• Operating cash register/computer following established procedures.
• Ensuring a Legendary shopping experience.
• Rotating and disposing of dated products.
• Assembling merchandise.
• Operating Forklift and Cardboard Baler.
• Ensuring the safety and care of birds, including sanitizing and maintaining poultry tanks.
• Completing all documentation related to these duties.
• Obtaining necessary licenses or certifications.

Other duties as assigned may be performed as needed.

Required Qualifications

Experience in shipping/receiving is preferred but not required. Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred knowledge, skills, or abilities

• Basic computer skills and experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ethical issue resolution with minimal conflict.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor with moderate noise; outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
• Shifts typically no less than 4 hours, possibly exceeding 8 hours.
• Hard surface floors, adequate lighting and temperature.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• This position is non-sedentary and requires physical stamina.
• Ability to operate equipment, lift merchandise up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks as described.
