Job summary

Arizona State Land Department is seeking a Title Examiner 2 to process short-term and right-of-way applications, manage contract cancellations, and deliver accurate land and title reports. This role requires independent judgment, meeting deadlines and clear written and oral communication with internal staff and external parties.

Under supervision, you will perform detailed document review, interpret land descriptions, and research records.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in technical examining or title work.
• Knowledge of statutes, departmental rules, and land leasing procedures.
• Ability to research land title and leasing records.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Process Special Land Use Permits and manage cancellation of contracts.
• Handle new and renewal short-term and right-of-way applications and assignments.
• Prepare and review title and land research reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to meet deadlines.
