Job summary

Saint Louis University seeks an Equity Officer to lead investigations of discrimination, harassment, bias, and sexual misconduct involving faculty, staff, and students.

The role develops and facilitates campus-wide training on nondiscrimination, serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, and helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Collaboration with HR and student services is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three or more years conducting confidential investigations of discrimination, harassment, or sexual assault in academic or employment settings.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local equal opportunity laws and regulations.
• Ability to interpret Title II/VI/VII/IX and related laws; prefer knowledge of affirmative action compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of complaints of sexual assault, discrimination, harassment, or bias; prepare reports for OSRCS, OIED, OGC or other entities.
• Advise faculty, staff and students of rights under federal law and university policy.
• Assist in campus-wide climate surveys and training programs to improve understanding of harassment and gender-based violence.
• Develop and facilitate institution-wide training on nondiscrimination and related laws; act as Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
• Collaborate with Student Development, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant policies and practices.
