Job summary

Investors Title Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Underwriter – National Markets Support to provide multi-state title underwriting and production support for North Carolina and National Markets. You will review title searches, underwrite commitments, and maintain production guides while building strong relationships with agency partners.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of training and title industry experience.
• Knowledge of SoftPro preferred.
• Title insurance underwriting experience, especially commercial, construction, and complex transactions, is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficient to advanced Microsoft Office/PC skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities, multiple assignments, deadlines, and detailed files while maintaining accuracy.
• Settlement knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Current title insurance license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-state title underwriting and production assistance to assigned North Carolina and National Markets agencies.
• Review title searches and opinions to evaluate title status, identify risk, and determine appropriate title requirements and exceptions.
• Underwrite commitments, policies, and endorsements in accordance with company guidelines, agency procedures, and established production and quality standards.
• Maintain production guides for agency clients, providers, and lenders to support accurate and consistent processing.
• Respond to agency inquiries and develop positive relationships with Operations Representatives, agency personnel, and other internal partners.
• Support Direct Operations by delivering title products in accordance with applicable state requirements and service-level expectations.
• Assist with Direct Operations work-in-progress and accounts receivable tracking, monthly billing, and market share reporting analysis.
• Communicate regularly with the AVP of Centralized Operations regarding work volumes, client issues, and obstacles affecting production or quality.

We’re looking for an experienced Underwriter – National Markets Support to provide multi-state title underwriting and production support for our North Carolina and National Markets agencies, as well as our Direct Operations team. In this role, you’ll combine your title expertise, sound judgment, and strong relationship-building skills to deliver accurate, timely title products while supporting agency partners across a variety of markets and transactions.
