Job summary

The Cobb County School District is seeking a Tutor, Title I at Bryant Elementary School in Mableton, GA. This temporary instructional support role focuses on providing targeted academic assistance to students in greatest need under the Title I program.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate. Responsibilities include coordinating with classroom teachers, tracking student progress, and reporting tutoring hours to the Title I Supervisor on an as-needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or eligible.
• Experience: none required; preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and oral communication; well-organized and a role model.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic assistance in areas of greatest need on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with the student's teacher via email and other means.
• Engage students in appropriate academic activities.
• Help students develop strong study skills.
• Establish and maintain rapport with students.
• Maintain records of student progress and tutoring hours.
• Provide evaluations and reports to Title I Department as requested.
• Report tutoring hours to the assigned Tutor contact.
• Participate in scheduled meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
