Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides targeted, ongoing Tier II literacy support to students who have been identified as being most at risk of meeting literacy targets, in both Title I School-Wide and Title I Targeted Assistance schools in the district.
• Adheres to and supports all mandates of the Title I Federal law requirements.
• Uses either a push-in or a pull-out model to assist students with supplementary (Tier II) instruction beyond the classroom instruction.
• Uses assessment data to target instruction and monitor student’s progress.
• Can collaborate with classroom teachers, and other staff, Building Principals, ELA/Title I Coordinator, to identify students needing further intervention.
• Assembles appropriate instructional materials and develops differentiated lesson plans to meet students’ needs.
• Evaluates the progress of all students receiving services.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Building Principal.
• Works in partnership with Reading/Literacy Specialists and EL Teachers to coordinate services to students efficiently.
