Job summary

Qualifications

• Bilingual skills in Spanish/English preferred, but not required
• High school diploma required
• Some college and/or experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Consistent and punctual on-site attendance at the worksite is an essential job function
• Uses positive forms of communication with children in the classroom/building
• Demonstrates confidentiality
• Maintain attendance records
• Performs various clerical duties (typing, drawing, writing, bulletin boards, graphs, charts, papers)
• Research, assemble, and organize materials for instruction
• Help in the care of the classroom (sanitizing toys)
• Assist with classroom inventory of supplies and materials
• Supervise groups of students as directed by supervisor/teacher
• Alerts teacher to the needs of students
• Reinforce skills taught by teacher
• Assist students with reading, make-up work, group activities
• Other duties as assigned
