Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and passing GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• An associate degree or higher is required by the district.
• Sixty semester hours (or ninety quarter hours) with a 2.0+ GPA from PSC-approved college is acceptable.
• A PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily classroom activities and instructional support.
• Implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations for all students.
• Provide small group or one-on-one instruction as directed by teachers.
• Support students with behavioral, social-emotional, and health-related needs in alignment with IEPs.
• Monitor student progress and participate in data collection under supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records per FERPA and district policies.
