Job summary

Wynbrooke ES, part of the DeKalb County School District, seeks a Title I Kindergarten Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports teachers with instructional delivery to meet high academic expectations and requires collaboration with the team and strong communication skills.

Primary duties include assisting with daily instruction, behavior management, and data collection to monitor student progress in accordance with IEPs and district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
• Associate degree or higher from a PSC-approved college or university.
• Minimum 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a GPA of 2.0 from a PSC-approved college.
• A PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical and personal care needs under supervision of a certified teacher or licensed professional.
• Support students with daily health-related care needs when trained and authorized, aligning with IEPs.
• Provide small group and/or one-on-one instruction per teacher lesson plans.
• Monitor students before/after school and during non-instructional transitions.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and data collection for progress monitoring.
• Assist with development/organization of instructional materials in advance of lessons.
