Job summary

Elmwood Elementary School in Hopkinton, MA seeks a Title I Elementary Literacy Tutor for part-time work (up to 30 hours/week). Start date 10/26/2026 through end of FY27; salary $32/hour, commensurate with experience. Works under Director of Literacy and Principal to provide targeted literacy tutoring.

The role delivers 1:1 or small group instruction, analyzes progress, and maintains records to inform classroom practice. Collaboration with educators is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Literacy, ELA, Education, or related field.
• Strong understanding of current literacy practices.
• Excellent communication with children and adults.
• Ability to follow tutoring plans and directions.
• Ability to collect and analyze data to inform instruction.
• Alternative qualifications may be acceptable as determined by the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in 1:1 or small groups in classroom or pull-out settings.
• Analyze assessments to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Maintain records and report progress to teachers.
• Use engaging instructional practices to motivate students.
• Create a safe, collaborative learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
