Job summary

Andover Public Schools is seeking tutors to deliver mathematics and literacy instruction and assessments for Title I students, while collaborating with teachers and administrators to support Title I programming.

You will instruct individuals and small groups, conduct assessments, maintain instructional data, and participate in parent Title I engagement meetings. The position runs approximately 9/14/26 - 6/4/27, contingent on Title I funding.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate effective collaboration, communication, and organization skills.
  • Teacher Certification required: MA DESE Elementary License for Grades 1-6 or MA DESE Middle School License.

Description

Tutors will provide mathematics and/or literacy instruction and assessment for eligible Title I students, as well as collaborate with teachers and administrators regarding Title I programming to ensure student success.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct individual and small groups of students in mathematics and/or literacy.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain instructional data for Title 1 students.
  • Participate in parent Title I engagement and meetings.
Qualifications

Demonstrate effective collaboration, communication, and organization skills. Teacher Certification required: MA DESE Elementary License for Grades 1-6 or MA DESE Middle School License.

Supplemental Information

Direct service to students between 6-19 hours per week at the tutor rate $56.69/hr with up to two hours of weekly planning time at $40.16/hr.

Reports To

Building Principal, Title I Director and Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning.

The duration of this position runs from approximately 9/14/26 - 6/4/27

This position is contingent upon Title I grant funding for the 2025-2026 academic year. Continued employment is dependent on annual renewal of Title I funding.
