Job summary

Betz School is accepting applications for a 4 hour per day Title I Instructional Paraprofessional. This role supports instructional activities under the supervision of a teacher, helping students acquire skills taught in the classroom.

The paraprofessional assists students in small groups and individually, and may supervise students across the building during assigned times. Regular attendance and 48 college credits are required.

Job description

Applications are being accepted for a 4 hour per day Title I Instructional Paraprofessional at Betz School. The general education instructional paraprofessional works under the direction and supervision of a teacher or other designated member of the school staff. The instructional paraprofessional helps students acquire skills and competencies taught by the classroom teacher.Duties include working with students in small groups and individually under the direction of the teacher; including supervising students in all areas of the building.Requires 48 hrs of college credit. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically 8:30-12:30.
