Summary

Bickel Dual Immersion Magnet Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Title I Paraprofessional. This full-time position is designed for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to supporting students in a diverse learning environment. The Title I Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers to provide instructional support, assist with classroom management, and help foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional materials and lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students who require additional academic assistance, ensuring they understand the material and can apply it effectively.
• Help monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs and achievements.
• Support classroom management by helping to maintain a safe and orderly environment conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with special needs.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials, resources, and activities.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to student support and educational practices.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, promoting a collaborative and respectful school community.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish/English is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (Praxis Exam).
• Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in a Title I or similar environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families.
• Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and classroom management techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators.

• Ability to pass background checks and meet state and federal employment requirements.
