Job summary

Englewood Public School District seeks an anticipated Title I Instructional Coach at Dwight Morrow High School to support the 2026–2027 Annual School Plan and instructional priorities. Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey instructional certificate.
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Experience analyzing student achievement and assessment data.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and administrators.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support implementation of the school's Annual School Plan and instructional goals.
  • Provide instructional coaching and professional support to ELA and Mathematics teachers, with additional schoolwide support as determined by identified student and staff needs.
  • Assist teachers in analyzing LinkIt benchmark, NJSLA, NJGPA, classroom, and other student performance data to identify instructional needs and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Facilitate data analysis sessions with PLCs and individual teachers following benchmark assessment administrations and assist teams in translating data into actionable instructional plans. The ASP specifically calls for the coach to facilitate PLC and individual teacher sessions following LinkIt assessments.
  • Support teachers in identifying and appropriately tiering students based on assessment and classroom data.
  • Assist teachers in planning and implementing differentiated instruction and targeted interventions for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students.
  • Provide targeted instructional support for multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and students performing below grade-level expectations.
  • Promote instructional strategies including differentiation, project-based learning, SIOP strategies, formative assessment, and targeted interventions, consistent with the professional learning needs identified in the ASP.
  • Collaborate with teachers to review student work, assessment results, instructional plans, and other evidence of student learning.
  • Facilitate and support Professional Learning Communities focused on student achievement, instructional improvement, and measurable student growth.
  • Assist administration in planning, coordinating, and facilitating professional development opportunities aligned with identified school and teacher needs.
  • The ASP assigns the Instructional Coach and administrative team responsibility for scheduling professional development and participating in relevant professional learning opportunities.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of schoolwide instructional initiatives and provide ongoing feedback regarding progress toward ASP goals.
  • Collaborate with administration and instructional staff to monitor progress from beginning-of-year, middle-of-year, and end-of-year benchmark assessments and adjust instructional supports accordingly.
  • Support the development of instructional strategies designed to improve student engagement and attendance.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of coaching activities, PLC support, professional development, data meetings, interventions, and other evidence necessary to monitor implementation of the Annual School Plan.
  • Perform other instructional support responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or district administration and consistent with the goals of the Title I program.
