Job summary

The Newington Public Schools seeks an Instructional Coach to collaborate with teachers and administrators in Science and Math to develop, implement, and evaluate the instructional program. The coach acts on the school leadership team, delivering ongoing professional development, supporting data-driven decisions, and guiding teachers to improve content knowledge and instructional strategies.

Qualifications

• Establishes high expectations and supports equitable practices.
• Experience in curriculum design and improvement planning.
• Knowledge of DDDM, SRBI, and Special Education is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff and administration.

Responsibilities

• Align the instructional program with district and school improvement goals.
• Provide job-embedded and formal professional development.
• Analyze student performance data to inform planning.
• Coach teachers to improve content knowledge and instructional practices.
• Lead equity-focused instruction and reflective practice.
• Coordinate curriculum planning with administrators and directors.
• Plan and evaluate professional development programs for the district.
