Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support services in math and literacy under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers and model how to modify instruction for students with behavioral needs.
• Assist in planning and implementing the learning environment and preparing needed materials and supplies.
• Provide individualized and small group instruction and implement behavior plans as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Monitor student work as assigned by the classroom teacher.
• Conduct functional assessments and collect charted academic and behavioral data with emphasis on targeted achievement and behavior goals.
• Praise and reinforce student achievement and report progress to the classroom teacher.
• Work with the classroom teacher to assess student progress.
