Community Unit School District 308 seeks a Title I Interventionist Teacher Assistant to support students under a grant-funded program. The role involves small-group and one-on-one instruction, progress monitoring, and materials preparation across school settings.

Under a licensed teacher's direction, the assistant reinforces skills, maintains student records, and may assist with translations where possible. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Educator License or equivalent paraprofessional/professional license.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge-based competencies to perform duties.
• Ability to use basic job-related equipment.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to work well with students and staff.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and monitor small group and one-on-one instruction to present, guide and reinforce skills.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff.
• Update and maintain student progress records and test scores.
• Prepare instructional materials and supplies for lessons and pull-out groups.
• Attend meetings and professional development activities as assigned.
• May substitute for colleagues and support special education needs as required.
• Supervise students in multiple settings to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Assist with pre- and post-school supervision and other duties as directed.
