Job summary

Ardán seeks a skilled Title Examiner to analyze public records, examine deeds, mortgages, and other documents to produce clear title opinions and commitments. You will evaluate risk, explain exceptions to clients, and ensure compliance with policy provisions.

Requires at least four years of industry experience and a strong grasp of title curative procedures. Company offers health, dental, vision benefits, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of industry experience, including preparation of title commitments.
• High School diploma (or equivalent).
• Desirable: specialized training in word processing software or similar tools.
• Experience examining in the States of MI, OH, IL, IN, KY.
• Knowledge of underwriting policies and guidelines for specified States.
• Knowledge of real estate law and title/escrow curative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Examine title orders within company guidelines to determine conditions of title and insurability.
• Research title plant software and analyze documents for ownership, legal description, and title.
• Explain the chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to customers and managers.
• Recognize title defects and formulate curative solutions.
• Assess risks and notify managers or underwriters as appropriate.
• Maintain production levels and delivery standards.
• Prepare accurate title commitments per policy procedures.
• Work on special projects as assigned by management.
