Job summary

Certis Title & Escrow in Montgomery, AL is seeking a motivated title agent to join our established team. You will prepare closing statements, review documents, issue title policies, and transfer title to new owners while coordinating with real estate agents, settlement agents, title insurers, law firms and escrow professionals.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of title closing experience, meet state licensing requirements (title producers license is a plus), and be proficient with Microsoft

Responsibilities

• Prepare closing statements after reviewing closing documents to ensure title commitments are met, issue title policy, and transfer title to the new owner.
• Analyze liens, contracts, surveys, maps and public records to verify ownership and legal description.
• Verify there are no title defects or issues after property search.
• Coordinate with real estate agents, settlement agents, title insurers, law firms, escrow officers and paralegals.
• Present deed to new owners after recording documents at county and federal levels.

We are looking for someone who is research-driven, loves efficiency, and has a keen eye for detail. If this sounds like you,

• Prepare closing statements after reviewing all closing documents to ensure all title commitments have been met, issue title policy, and transfer title to the new owner
• Analyze liens, plat books, contracts, agreements, surveys, maps, public records, and leases to verify ownership, legal description, and restrictions
• Verify there are no real estate title defects or title issues such as liens, wills, claims, deeds, mortgages, or fraud once property search is complete
• Work effectively throughout the closing process with a variety of industry professionals such as real estate agents, settlement agents, title insurance agents, law firms, escrow officers, closing agents, paralegals, and escrow companies
• Present deed to new owners after recording all legal documents at the county and federal level
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
• Prefer process-driven, analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
• Requires 3-5 years of title closing experience, abstractor, title examiner, or closing services experience
• Meet state licensing requirements -- title producers license is a plus

Compensation

$18 - $24 hourly

At our title company, we do commercial and residential closings. Clients are our top priority.
