Springfield Nissan is seeking a Title Clerk to handle title registrations for all vehicle purchases at our growing dealership in Springfield. The role requires careful processing of titles, taxes, and related documents to ensure compliance with state DMV requirements.

Dealership experience is a plus, and candidates should be detail-oriented and capable of coordinating with the accounting and DMV processes to ensure timely title handling and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Processes title registration paperwork for all new and used vehicle purchases.
• Prepares tax and title documents accurately for the state the vehicle is to be registered in.
• Submits all legal paperwork to the DMV in the time frame the state has allowed.
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Verifies the payoff checks were accurate and follows up on titles due in to the dealership. Floors all stock vehicles as title is received.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work.
