Qualifications

• Current or eligible Notary commission in New York State.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Familiarity with real estate, title or mortgage industry practices; prior settlement or title office experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with office software and title/closing systems; ability to learn new platforms quickly.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in real estate, legal studies, or accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and organize title documentation including title commitments and policies.
• Manage escrow files, assist with disbursements, and verify accuracy of recorded documents.
• Update internal systems and maintain orderly records for audits and closings.
• Interact with lenders, attorneys, buyers, and sellers to obtain information and resolve title-related issues.
• Schedule closings and support the closing team with administrative tasks and customer service.
