Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. in New York is seeking an Escrow/Title Agent to manage residential real estate closings from start to finish, coordinating with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders and brokers.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, clearing title, preparing closing documents, coordinating closings, recording deeds, and ensuring compliance with NY regulations. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience as an Escrow/Title Agent.
• Notary license is required or attainable within 90 days.
• Ability to work without direct supervision, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral, written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Resware and/or Qualia is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review residential purchase/sale contracts and comply with all terms.
• Review title commitment and clear curative items. Identify any potential issues or encumbrances and work to resolve.
• Prepare and issue Closing Protection Letters, title curative documents and transfer documents.
• Coordinate Closings with all parties involved.
• Ensure compliance that all transactions meet the regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all documents are properly recorded within the proper counties.
• Develop and maintain good working relations with customers, as well as the policies and goals of Mason Title.
• Handle customers confidential information in a professional manner
• Handle other duties or special projects as assigned by supervisor.
