Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Henderson, NV is seeking an entry-level operator assistant for melt shop production.

You will assist with loading/unloading, fabrication of electrodes and stubs, and maintenance of furnaces while adhering to safety procedures to maintain production pace. In this role you will gain hands-on experience with welding equipment, cranes, and materials handling, supporting senior operators across the melt shop line.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or industrial environment.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts (4am-4pm or 4pm-4am).
• Ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists operators in material handling.
• Assists operators in disconnecting furnace accessories and loading.
• Assists operators in maintenance of furnaces.
• Cleans and inspects welds and removes contaminants.
• Identifies and inspects stubs for fabrication of electrodes.
• Fabricates electrodes and stubs per welding specifications.
• Maintains records and makes computer entries as required.
