Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Laboratory Professional for the Carolinas Medical Center Core Lab: Immunology. This full-time 2nd shift position requires a Bachelor's degree in life sciences and may prefer ASCP/ABHI Registered Technologist.

Expect 40 hours per week with rotating on-call and holidays. Responsibilities include updating procedures, prioritizing workload, analyzing results, preparing specimens, verifying patient IDs, maintaining equipment, preparing reagents, and accurately reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences required.
• Master's degree, ASCP or ABHI Registered Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Update procedures in policy and procedure manuals.
• Assess urgency of tests and prioritize workload.
• Analyze test results for critical values and report them.
• Prepare specimens and verify patient identification before testing.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor troubleshooting.
• Prepare reagents for test performance.
• Calculate, report and record test results accurately.
