Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Palatka, Florida facility. The role focuses on pulp and paper processing within the Angel Soft Converting department, reporting to the Angel Soft Converting Product System Leader.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Paper Science or 3+ years in tissue converting, with a proven record in process improvements and operator capability development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of paper converting experience.
• Experience leading projects, coaching, and mentoring others within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of process improvement and operator capability building of tissue converting systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead an environment with zero incidents in Environmental, Health and Safety for Angel Soft Converting.
• Lead implementation of asset strategies and operator basic care in Angel Soft Converting area.
• Identify, investigate, and implement equipment improvements to improve productivity, yield, quality or reduce costs.
• Collaborate across roles and diverse groups and share feedback.
• Lead daily operation to maximize overall operating efficiency of the paper machine.
