Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pulp and Paper Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years combined experience in manufacturing/engineering roles supporting paper making.
• Ability to read P&ID's, layout drawings, and mechanical drawings.
• Willing to travel up to 70% of the time (including weekends, nights, and holidays).
• Willing and able to wear PPE and work in challenging production environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify improvement opportunities for processes and equipment at production sites.
• Support trials of new process technology and assess applicability.
• Assist installation, commissioning, and optimization of new assets.
• Prioritize improvement lists for asset owners based on business needs.
• Develop standardized operating and maintenance strategies with SMEs.
• Review maintenance and downtime data to identify equipment needs.
• Coordinate efforts to restore asset performance with internal/third-party support.
• Plan outage activities with operations teams.
• Use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot machine issues and keep assets ready.
• Train and mentor mill personnel in diagnostic procedures.
