Job summary

Gills Point S Tire in Presque Isle, ME is hiring a Service Technician to help keep customers safe on the road. You will perform tire services, inspections, and basic automotive maintenance, with training and support provided to grow your skills.

You'll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop, mounting, dismounting, balancing tires, inspecting wear, advising customers on tire options, and maintaining inventory and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Automotive or tire experience is a plus, but training available.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Team player who enjoys helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires.
• Inspect vehicles for tire wear, damage, and basic maintenance concerns.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and service needs.
• Perform basic vehicle services and safety inspections.
• Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Help maintain inventory, shop cleanliness, and organization.
• Work as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
