Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Service Technician to perform tire services, inspections, and basic automotive maintenance. Training is provided for those new to the field, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Automotive or tire experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a busy shop environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Team player who enjoys helping customers

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance, rotate, and repair tires.
• Inspect vehicles for tire wear, damage, and basic maintenance concerns.
• Assist customers with tire recommendations and service needs
• Perform basic vehicle services and safety inspections
• Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Help maintain inventory, shop cleanliness, and organization
• Work as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
