Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a Tire Technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger, light truck, large truck, and industrial applications. You will troubleshoot commercial vehicles, perform fleet inspections, and assist with stock counts while following safety procedures and company policies.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, drug screen, and the ability to lift 30–250 lbs. Flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays are expected; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older; 21 years or older to drive.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance.
• Able to perform repetitive and sustained physical exertions, including bending, lifting, kneeling, and exposure to vibrations.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime may be required.

• Perform fleet inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Operate company vehicles safely, following all traffic and speed regulations
• Respond to service calls using a service truck (F-350) when necessary
• Load/unload inventory and assist with physical stock counts
• Use and maintain TPMS
• Follow all safety procedures, training guidelines, and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
