Job summary

Sweetie Boy Transportation, established in 2010, is seeking a Tire Technician for our Richmond, VA hub. You will mount/dismount tires, inspect wear, balance tires, and keep a clean shop. Training is available for motivated candidates who value safety and reliability.

Work is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with overtime possible. You will operate in a fast-paced fleet shop, handling heavy tires and equipment while maintaining professionalism and safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience with tire service or automotive settings preferred; training available.
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work.
• Attention to detail and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount passenger, light truck, and commercial tires with proper equipment.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
• Balance tires and install wheel weights as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop, including storage areas.
• Keep shop equipment in good working order and assist with tool maintenance.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and stocking tire inventory.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Ensure customer vehicles are handled with care and professionalism.
• Support other technicians as needed and perform additional shop duties.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Tire Technician to join our growing team at our Richmond, VA hub location. If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fleet shop environment, you’ll be a great fit. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Tire Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for mounting and dismounting tires, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring all tire services are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mount and dismount passenger, light truck, and commercial tires using appropriate equipment.
• Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
• Balance tires and install wheel weights as needed.
• Clean and organize the shop, workstations, and tire storage areas.
• Maintain shop equipment and keep tools in good working condition.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and stocking tire inventory.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure customer vehicles are handled with care and professionalism.
• Assist other technicians and team members as needed.
• Perform additional shop duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous tire service or automotive experience is preferred but not required; training is available for motivated candidates.
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
